Citi Credit Cards

Citi credit cards are all over the place in the modern market, mostly because of the fact that the Citi Corporation that controls those credit cards is so large. There is really no corporation in the world that deals in as many different credit cards as the Citi Corporation and for that reason you should not be surprised when you see many of your friends using Citi credit cards and taking advantage of some of their myriad advantages.

One thing to like about Citi however is that they have not really fallen prey to some of the pitfalls that can come from being the top dog in a particular market. There are many companies that have held the role of top company in a particular marketplace and then used that role as a justification for getting complacent. Companies can get by on their reputation for awhile, but eventually the complacency will mean their downfall and by the high quality of Citi credit cards that are available in the market today, it is quite clear that the Citi Corporation has not

fallen prey to that type of complacency. As credit card consumers, we are the ones that ultimately benefit from this because of the excellent credit cards that Citi has to offer.

A good example of a particular credit card field in which Citi credit cards are quite strong is the affinity credit card. Affinity credit cards are cards that you use when you are feeling charitable towards other people. Rather than giving you anything in terms of the rewards or the cash back that you might get from other credit cards, affinity cards are pegged to a particular company or charitable organization and for that reason it is the particular organization to which the affinity card is pegged that gets all of the cash back from the credit cards that you use. Citi has affinity credit cards for organizations that do research into cancer and other medical conditions that need cures and they have affinity credit cards for just about every charitable organization you can think of. They even have credit cards for sports teams in some areas, allowing you to get the card and support your sports team along the way.

This is not to say that Citi credit cards are just strong in affinity roles however, as such a statement would be quite incorrect. Instead, Citi credit cards are strong in all of the different areas that credit cards inhabit in the modern world. This means that you can get good reward cards, good cash back cards and good normal low interest credit cards from Citi should you want to do so. One of the advantages of being at the top of the credit card market is that you get the opportunity to make partnerships across industry and it is those types of partnerships with airlines, grocery store chains and hospitality chains that allow Citi credit cards to have such a wide berth. So the next time you are thinking of getting a new credit card, try the Citi Corporation.
